Duo Beaux Arts—German Romantics with a Twist

Known for its sensational performances, Duo Beaux Arts (pianists Catherine Lan & Tao Lin) is in high demand on international stages. Recent engagements include concert tours in Asia, Europe, and across North America to critical acclaims and the Duo will be making its Hungarian debut performing at the renowned Bartók Hall at Buda Castle in Budapest this September. The Romantic era had its roots in the late 18th century and spilled over into the 20th century. It emphasized individual expression, emotion, and virtuosity, as well as freedom from constraining forms. This beautiful and exhilarating program features some of the greatest and best-known works for piano duet and solo masterworks by Beethoven, Schubert, and Mendelssohn.
