Ring Sarasota is inviting audiences to tune in for their 14th handbell performance season, “Radio Waves!”
Whether your radio dial is set to “American Top 40,” “Delilah,” or “Classic FM,” “Radio Waves” has something for you. Ring Sarasota’s talented ringers will recreate some of the most popular hits to hit the airwaves across all genres, including country, Latin, and 80’s pop, with a few surprises along the way.
Now entering its 14th season, Ring Sarasota is making music throughout Florida and is stopping at St George . As the area’s premier handbell ensemble, these spirited musicians captivate audiences of all ages with a unique combination of entertainment, education, and community engagement.
Dedicated to enhancing handbell ringing as an art form, the Sarasota‐based group under the direction of former Navy bandleader Rick Holdsworth showcases over 200 bells rung by 19 ringers to create a symphony of sound with special effects mimicking the piccolo, percussion, chimes, and trombone, even the Tibetan singing bowl! Ring Sarasota attracts member ringers from as far north as Tampa Bay and as far south as Fort Myers.
