To All the Women of St George:
Yesterday, March 26, would have been the day of our annual fashion show.  This is one of my favorite events every year as we celebrate our friendship while admiring beautiful fashions from a local retailer.  Most of you invite friends to celebrate with us. It is always a joyous and fun afternoon.

I know I speak for the entire Board of the St George Women’s Guild when I say, “We miss you!”  I find myself thinking of our meetings–speaking to each of you about matters small and large, learning about your families, and anticipating our upcoming events and fundraisers.  But most fondly, I think of how, despite the many ‘firsts’ we have introduced over the past year or so, that the one thing all of you insist on doing at the conclusion of each meeting is praying the Lord’s Prayer, even if we hadn’t put it on our agenda.

We form a circle, hold hands, and pray that beautiful prayer we’ve all grown up saying and of course, have shared with our children and grandchildren. And as we finish, we say, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen!”  And we give each others’ hands a little squeeze.  A sign of affection that we all long for now.

So please know that The Women’s Guild is thinking of each of you, looking forward to the day we can meet again.  Of course, we were so torn about cancelling the fashion show. But we know it was the right thing to do. The Women’s Guild is making a contribution to Le Pélican, our chosen charity this year, as an act of support and love for their wonderful work.

I hope you will join us for our next meeting–whenever that may be!  And keep all of the women of St George in your prayers as we await the day we can come together again.  God bless you all!

Yours Most Sincerely,

Dale Dreps, President of St George Women’s Guild
