What a beautiful study of the psalms. Thank you for focusing our minds on our role in nature and our responsibility and call. Your examples really tied everything together and gave me a fresh perspective. Your analogy to The Lion King were great.

Very interesting, yes we are stewards of our earthly home, why some people do not realize that is beyond me.
We are the most wonderful heirs of Gods riches and blessings each and every day. Sure we have problems from time to time, God is always with us, we must trust his promise and praise him for all our blessings, too numerous to mention. I am grateful for every day, yes, some days are better than others, we live in a country that is overflowing with blessings! Praise God our creator.

Fr. John,
I too love the Psalms and have enjoyed this study.
We need the reminder of God’ s love and our place in this world.
Thank yo. Have a wonderful, restful vacation.

Thank you for choosing these two Psalms and for such a pertinent lesson for today. I think our call for creation is not only to praise and thank God for such beauty, but also for us to be good stewards of his creation. Even just picking up a discarded water bottle on a hike is taking care of this earth and doing our small part. Of course, we all need to do more to protect this planet. By the way, artist Amber Share (ambersharedesign.com) created a series of National Park posters using the less-than-favorable reviews on Yelp and Trip Adviser. They are quite humorous.

Thank you Mary Ann,
I prepared a Phonevite which talks a bit more about this. I will have to check Amber Share out. You can’t help but wonder about the connection between COVID and our treatment of the environment. Just a thought…

Dorcas,
To repeat myself- the Psalms are my vitamin P. They have always been the Christian Church’s chief means of spiritual growth. I would love to see us turn to them more…

Yes,
Despite all our current issues, this is a wonderful country and God continues to bless us with so many gifts.

Pam,
I want to thank the Holy Spirit for the analogy to the Lion King. That ties into C.S.Lewis’ Narnia books, doesn’t it? Christ’s character in the novels was Aslan the Lion.
