In this homily, The Reverend John Kelly, Rector of St. George Episcopal Church, shares that the two biggest issues we are faced with at this time of the pandemic, racial strife, economic slowdown, and natural disasters are anger and anxiety. Some say we are living in an anger incubator. However, Jesus calls upon us to carry on the ministry of reconciliation. Fr. Kelly provides a mantra that will help us during these times of anxiety. Thanks. I already forgot those behaviours you suggest. We’re so engrained to react without thinking. Be anxious for nothing. Prayerful for every thing. Thankful for anything. Don’t feel I’ll really react that way. It would be wonderful. Can you teach an old dog new ways? I think church attendance ea. sunday is necessary for us lukewarm christians. Don’t mean to be so blunt but it sure ain’t easy to walk like jesus.
Thank you, Bob. We can all forgot these things. The gospel always illuminates…
