Preparing for Sunday’s Virtual Service
On Sunday, you will be able to participate “virtually” in Morning Prayer from St. George. To facilitate access to the service, we suggest that you “like” us on Facebook as well as subscribe to our YouTube channel. These are the social media that we will use increasingly in the coming weeks to communicate with you and to keep our faith community in fellowship. We will continue to use “Cablegrams” and phonevite.com as well.
I am providing links that will automatically take you to our Facebook and YouTube pages. Please note that at the very bottom of this message (after the section on services and office hours) there also are links to our Facebook and YouTube pages. I have noticed that it is taking longer for these pages to load, probably due to increased activity. Be patient!
To reach the St. George Facebook page, click here. When you reach the St. George Facebook page, under the banner at the top of the page you will see a button that says “like” with a thumbs up hand. Click on that to “like” our page.
To reach the St. George YouTube page, click here. When you visit the YouTube page, you will see a red “subscribe” button. Click on that so that you will be subscribed to our YouTube page.
Do you need both? Yes, as Fr. John, Dale and I learn more about posting videos and live streaming we may determine that one platform is better than another. So, keep both options open.
Good luck and if you have any questions or can’t figure out how to do this, give me a call on 352-391-5840. Also, if you know someone at church who does not have a computer, let me know so that I can add them to those I phone in the evening with “Cablegram” news.
