Coronavirus Pastoral Update
Dear Friends,
It will be easy for us to feel disconnected from one another as Church Services will be on pause for at least four weeks. We are putting together several different ways for us to keep in touch with one another.
1. St. George will be offering a weekly Sunday Service on-line. I believe we will have a very appealing Morning Prayer service for your life with Christ available for Sunday mornings. I will give you details as to how to connect ASAP.
2. Our Clergy want to be available for everyone. But, we also want to keep you safe, following the CDC guidelines. From Monday through Friday, one of our clergy staff will be available in the courtyard for conversation or prayer from 9 AM to 11 AM.
3. Also, our Clergy will be calling each person on the parish list to say “hello,” check-in and collect prayer requests. Following our weekly meeting on Wednesday, we will offer up these prayers to the Lord.
4. I will be posting a regular blog, and so will be others, here and on our new website. We hope you will find them encouraging and uplifting.
5. With our new Phonevite service, I will be able to send a scripture passage to every parishioner, sharing God’s word as we navigate this troubling season.
I want to thank the Clergy for their willingness to be there for each of you. Thank you to LaVerne Collins and Dale Dreps who have been working so hard on the website, additional communication options, and getting our on-line worship service off the ground.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” -John 14: 27
